Why this pastry:

Continuing our exploration of the cream bun, I wanted to create a spring-inspired version that evokes the nostalgia of fruity sweet treats; like unwrapping a Fruit by the Foot or enjoying a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. In both cases, the experience is captured not by the whole, but by the bright, vivid essence that the fruit brings.
